I can’t help but
notice the do-it-yourself trend this season, from dip-dying, to adding studs to
a pair of shorts, to braiding friendship bracelets, the possibilities seem
endless. I love the idea of re-inventing old clothes and finding new ways to
wear them, so over the weekend I decided to be a little crafty myself. I took
an an old jean jacket and simply cut off the sleeves at the seams to turn it
into a summer vest. I can’t wait to wash it and put it in the dryer for a
naturally frayed look. Does anyone else have any fun DIY projects on the go?
I love what you did to that jean jacket! I only have one (which I still wear all of the time), so I would have to scour the sale racks at Gap before attempting this.
ReplyDeleteI also really love that skirt you're wearing. I love great finds at Forever 21.
Thanks Jackie!
ReplyDeleteForever 21 actually has some awesome, not too expensive, denim jackets that would be great to cut the sleeves off of. Check out these ones:

Totally doing this when I get home. I have way too many jean jackets I'd like to trash, lol.
ReplyDeleteAll you did was cut off the sleeves and it looks THAT seamless? Wow!
