Mixing Fabrics

Sweater: Gap (try this cozy oxblood jumper); Pants: Aritzia (love these) ; Loafers: Zara; Necklace: Urban Outfitters; Bracelets: H&M (recent)

The last few days have been surprisingly warmer than expected, so I’ve been feeling the need to get in a couple more wears out of a few summer items. These silk pants are definitely lightweight and flowy, but with a wool-blend sweater they feel balanced and seasonal. Throw in some velvet loafers and you’re set for a warmer-than-normal autumn day. What summer pieces are you keeping in your fall wardrobe?

  1. Melissa!!! Love it's been forever! I hope you're doing lovely and loving the mixing of fabric. I always love to mix prints and textures. When is the big day and I hope hubby-to-be is doing good too!

Oh, Nate and I are still in the bay, we just moved a couple cities down. :)

  7. I love the texture mix! :) I haven't quite mastered that yet, so it's always fun to see how other people mix theirs and you definitely have it down. I like to still wear my summer dresses in the fall. I just add tights and a jacket. Then again, our temperature usually stays above 80 during our fall and winter, so that's probably why! Haha! :) Take care!

    1. Hahaha I am so jealous! I miss the warmer temperatures already, but I agree - summer dresses can look great in the fall with a fun pair of tights!
