SF Snapshots

Had a fantastic time in SF the last few days! That city never fails to impress me. Here are some snapshots of my favourite moments.

1. The Palace of Fine Arts simply exudes beauty.
2. A ticket to Steve's graduation ceremony.
3. A new pair of sunglasses from Madewell.
4. Sidewalk stairs make the climb to the top of Nob Hill a little easier.
5. I never tire of the scenic view of Golden Gate.
6. Decided it was time for a new wallet and fell instantly in love with the bright colour of this Kate Spade one.
7. You can't visit SF without indulging in some delicious Mexican food. My Fave? Taqueria Cancun's pollo quesadillas.
8. Graduation Day in front of City Hall.
9. Completely obsessed with Blue Bottle Coffee, especially the Mint Plaza location.

Pink Panther

An easy-to-wear outfit with added subtle details like a crochet collar or a pair of unexpected sunglasses is always a favourite combination.

Snapshots

1. Steve randomly bumped into Keifer Sutherland at Front and Spadina last week!
2. My favourite Stella & Dot Necklace paired with a shimmery purple blouse.
3. Not being a fan of raisins, I was ecstatic when a co-worker brought me a loaf of sans-raisin cinnamon bread from a local farm in Ottawa. I've never understood why it's so difficult to find cinnamon bread without raisins in Canada.
4. The beautiful cherry blossom trees that line the streets on my route to work, that often make me reminiscent of this SF neighbourhood.
5. The view from Ontario Place - a pit stop during one of Nike's "Free Run" events.
6. Saturdays spent lounging over one of my favourite Canadian magazines, Lou Lou.
7. Treats from the absolute best coffee/donut cafe in the city - Little Nicky's.
7. The CN tower is always in sight.
8. Authentic Italian margaretta pizza from Gusto.

Film Inspired

{Banana Republic Headband (similar here), Forever 21 Pearls with Bow attachment, Gap Umbrella, Banana Republic Jacket}

In anticipation for seeing The Great Gatsby tonight, I couldn't help but add a few inspired accessories to my look today. I love how a popular period film can completely enthuse modern day pop culture and fashion. Art-deco inspired pieces are everywhere lately and I can't get enough.

Have a lovely weekend!

Silk and Lace

{Forever 21 Top (similar here), Aritzia Pants (similar here), Zara Sandals (love these), Tiffany & Co. Sunglasses, Michael Kors Purse}

I like mixing unexpected patterns and fabrics. In the case of this outfit - intricately patterned silk and delicate lace.

Bold Pattern

{Gap Blouse; Joe Fresh Skirt; Banana Republic Trench; Stella & Dot Necklace; Banana Republic Wedges (similar here); Tiffany & Co Glasses; Essie "Master Plan" Nail Polish}

I find that the Spring and Summer months are a great time to experiment with bold prints and patterns. This skirt, last seen here, has become a versatile favourite, whether paired with matching black and white pieces, or a few bright accessories. I also recently picked up this steal of a dress and am undeniably hooked on the pattern.

Currently Craving: Origami-Inspired Shorts

I'm fascinated by the origami-inspired fashion trend right now. It feels artistically minimalist, yet intriguingly complex at the same time. This skirt/short/not quite a skort (or "culotte") option has caught my eye as of late, and I'm loving the way it looks with a stream-lined pair of sandals. What are your thoughts on the look?

Tropical City

{H&M Top; Gap Pants; H&M Belt; Banana Republic Shoes; Tiffany & Co. Sunglasses; Bracelets from Madewell, Stella & Dot and H&M)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Stripes & Flowers

{Madewell Sweater Dress (similar here), Urban Outfitters Jacket, Banana Republic Belt, DSW Boots, Aerie Scarf, Michael Kors Watch}

Doubling up on patterns and a bit texture-layering makes for an easy go-to outfit.
