Back to Basics

Jeans and Top: Banana Republic; Blazer: Gap; Watch: Michael Kors; Sunglasses: Tiffany & Co.; Nail Polish: OPI Cha-Ching Cherry

I haven't worn this navy blue blazer in ages, but lately I can't help but embrace its versatility. I also love that this top can completely transform from day to night. Would it be silly to buy it in black too?

It's January.

Jacket: Urban Outfitters; Skirt: American Apparel; Boots: Zara; Top: XXI; Earrings: XX1; Necklace: Urban Outfitters; Hat: Gap; Watch: Michael Kors; Purse: Club Monaco

I made it to SF and I'm loving the weather. I can wear boots on my feet without having a parka on top!

Packing Day

Packing for 4 months is tough, especially when the city you're packing for is known for it's unpredictable weather. At least I know I won't need my Sorrels. San Francisco Rule of Thumb: layer, layer, layer!
In my suitcase I have:
  • 5 pairs of pants
  • 9 skirts
  • 15 tops
  • 3 pairs of shorts
  • 6 dresses
  • 2 blazers
  • 8 pairs of shoes (including running shoes)
  • 2 running outfits
  • 1 umbrella
  • 2 purses
  • 3 hats
  • 2 cardigans
  • 1 cable-knit sweater
  • 3 jackets
  • 4 belts
  • 2 pairs of sunglasses
  • 2 scarves
  • 3 pairs of tights
  • 10 pieces of jewellery

  • Surprisingly one suitcase and one carry-on bag managed to accommodate my travel essentials. There was even a little extra room left over (perfect for all the goodies I intend to bring back with me).

    I'm moving!

After a year and a half of long distance and expensive visits back and forth, I have decided to move to the beautiful city of San Francisco to live with my boyfriend while he completes his final semester of film school.  Time to start packing...
